Job Title: SharePoint Governance and Corporate IT Support Specialist
Onsite Work: 5 Days a Week
Job Summary: The SharePoint Governance & Corporate IT Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining and enforcing LCG’s SharePoint Online governance model and information architecture. This role blends SharePoint administration, compliance, and user enablement with Tier 1 and Tier 2 corporate IT support. The Specialist ensures the platform remains optimized for collaboration, compliance, and usability while also supporting internal staff with general IT needs.
Key Responsibilities
SharePoint Governance & Administration
- Serve as the primary administrator of the SharePoint Online environment.
- Maintain and update SharePoint Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct monthly governance audits to ensure compliance with metadata, permissions, and file structures.
- Identify and correct broken links, outdated content, and misclassified documents.
- Provide governance reports and recommendations for platform improvements.
User Training & Support
- Deliver onboarding and refresher training sessions on SharePoint and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Support end-users with SharePoint-related questions, access issues, and collaboration guidance.
- Document recurring issues and user feedback for process and training enhancement.
Corporate IT Support
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 helpdesk support, including hardware, software, account, and M365 troubleshooting.
- Respond to and resolve support tickets within agreed service levels.
- Assist in Microsoft 365 tool optimization for end-users.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with Corporate Operations teams to ensure SharePoint solutions meet collaboration and storage needs.
- Recommend improvements to the governance model, SOPs, and end-user support strategies.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience administering SharePoint Online in a corporate setting.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of SharePoint governance, metadata tagging, and document lifecycle management.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, and Copilot features.
- Experience maintaining and enforcing SOPs and IT documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills in a helpdesk or desktop support environment.
- Helpdesk or Tier 1/2 technical support experience.
- Familiarity with user onboarding processes and training delivery.
- Ability to enforce SOPs and governance structures effectively.
- Strong audit and compliance monitoring skills.
- Ability to support and coach end-users on SharePoint and M365.
- Effective communicator with strong attention to detail.
