Location:
Remote with ability to commute to Bethesda, MD occasionally.
Job Description:
The Business Operations Manager will plan and oversee the daily operations of the organization to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hire and train new employees.
- Organize and oversee the schedules and work of assigned staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Responsibilities:
- Plans and organizes daily activities related to operations.
- Lead and manage the bid and proposal process.
- Maintain company registrations at the state and federal level.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist the CEO and HR Director with projects as needed.
- Assist with immigration related matters.
- Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
- Prepare budgets and accounting reports.
- Run bi-weekly and monthly payrolls.
- Coordinates with other support departments such as human resources to ensure successful operations.
- Determines labor needs to meet goals.
- Manage accounting processes, including AP, AR, and reconciliations.
- Assists with, or prepares and updates, organization’s operations manual and policies.
- Evaluate new/potential markets and products and assist in developing and implementing marketing plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Sills/Abilities:
- Federal contracting experience is required.
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
- Extensive knowledge of operations management.
- Ability to interpret accounting and financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with GoogleWorkspace.
